Yes, I have "rules" in my peak performance program.

Some people are triggered simply from that one word ...

They are negative about and demonize anything they FEEL as being controlled.

But what is learned in my program is how to EMBRACE things we don't like ...

To make them work FOR you instead of AGAINST you.

(And I teach EXACTLY how to do that!)

What happens next is MASSIVE GROWTH FORWARD ...

Placing and winning!

Rules are simply fences that I install along the new bridle path (neural pathway) in your brain.

They keep you on the right bridle path mindset; the new software update for your Equestrian Rockstar identity ...

And NOT running back to old thoughts, emotions, and behaviors driven by the Old Identity.

One of the most important rules I have is NO LIMITING BELIEFS!

Once we commit to adopting this rule for our new identity, the Equestrian Rockstar, we no longer have those wimpy goals

like ...

"Consistent rounds", "smoother rounds", and "get the lay of the land at my first time big event so I can do better next year."

My clients who went to their first Devon this year HAD to have goals of placing/winning!

And guess what? They did place or win!

And not only winning, but one of my past bootcamp clients actually got a Reserve Champion for her first Devon!

Casey Zuraitis got Reserve Champion in the 3'3" Hunters, age 18-35 with her new horse! It was her second highest score ever with an 89!

Guess what other limiting beliefs she did not allow herself to have?

1. "I need to have my trainer and family there to coach and support me."

Nope, none of those people were there, so Emil Spadone of Redfield Farms stepped in for those classes. Her mother, who also rides and shows, was on vacation in Europe.

Her fiancée, who is in an officer in the Air Force, wasn't there for support either.

You mean we don't have to have support?

Yes, that is your NEW belief! And therefore, it will become your new reality!

2. "I feel stressed and overwhelmed with my wedding, that I am doing all the planning for, because it is just two weeks away. Therefore, I can't focus and do my best."

Nope, we ghost busted those "too stressed, busy, and overwhelmed" narratives over a year ago for those big end of the year shows! Casey learned to compartmentalize and laser focus NO MATTER WHAT!

3. "I feel uncertainty because I am getting married and moving from MA to Mississippi to live with my new husband and have no idea what I will do for work."

Nope, the usual saying that moving and being out of a job are two of the most stressful things in a person's life? She decided not to believe that. And that uncertainty about her future life did not intrude in her focus and performance at all. In fact, she embraces the uncertainty and is excited about putting together the pieces of the puzzle!

We ghost busted that uncertainty problem from triggering her back when she did the bootcamp with me. Casey can have uncertainty and things up in the air and NOT feel out of control; NOT feel like she doesn't have a strong foundation.

Here is the thing; riders have to focus and ride and go out there and achieve their goals no matter what is going on with the rest of their lives.

They can't control other people, places, and things ...

And "what comes next" also cannot always unfold perfectly in time with our competitions. Sometimes decisions and questions about life just aren't going to all come together when we would like them to.

They key is ... we don't have to give these things the meanings that they can negatively affect our performance.

At the end of the day, they are just potential excuses for a lack of performance.

My rule is ... no limiting beliefs in my program!

And NO excuses! Set high, previously labeled "unrealistic" goals and stay the course no matter what!

It is my rules that closes all the back doors and exits that riders used to do for avoidance and running away ...

That provides the support for them to move forward into growth and peak performance.

Rules aren't the bad news. They are the good news!

Riders aren't being controlled, they are being guided and lead.

By having these rules, my clients learn what they need to do for themselves as far as their own personal rules for high standards and to keep moving forward when they are done coaching with me.

And even if it has been over year or more since they have coached with me ...

As long as they keep their high standards and strict rules for staying the course for peak performance ...

And as long as they continue to practice that in their riding AND consistently in the rest of their lives ...

So that this new way of thinking and behavior becomes an automatic, good habit ...

They will continue to make progress and to go out there and place, win, and grab those championships.

In riding and life.

Even if it is their FIRST TIME!

There is no valid reason to tell ourselves we can't do something just because it is our first time!

It is a choice to operate with a negative, self-sabotaging, limiting belief mindset.
